but he did inherit some tools and an old Chilton's covering 60's era domestics from my Grandfather. As a kid, I'd thumb through the Chiltons. I got bold one day and decided to pull the cylinder head on my dad's 65 Ford Fairlane. Oddly enough, he was more amazed than pissed (I didn't ask for permission) at my mechanical abilities. After that I was hooked. So in short, I was self taught. I rebuilt the rompin stompin 200 cubic inch inline six in the Fairlane at age 16, then did a 440 Mopar at 17, and a few SBC's after that.
